What is Healing Touch for AnimalsTM?

Valentino relaxing after Florence Gans of PathMakers, Inc. gives him an HTA treatment
Healing Touch for AnimalsTM(HTA) is a noninvasive holistic energy therapy using light-touch and no-touch energy-based techniques to balance and align the animal's energy field. Healing is accelerated when the body's energy field is balanced. The goal in HTA is to restore harmony and balance in the energy system, which allows the animal to self heal. Many of the techniques used on animals are similar to techniques used in the Healing Touch (HT) for humans curriculum. HT for humans has been recognized in the medical community since 1989, and is used by more than 75,000 health care practitioners worldwide. The Healing Touch Certification Program is now taught by 200+ certified instructors throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South Africa and South America. Many hospitals offer HT pre- and post-surgery to accelerate recovery.

How does Healing Touch for AnimalsTM work?

During HTA the body releases endorphins creating a deep state of relaxation. As the body relaxes, circulation increases. Increased circulation to the ailing site provides increased oxygen, nutrients and hormones, as well as boosting the body's natural cleansing of the site. This increased circulation supports the body's natural healing process.

What should I expect during a Healing Touch for AnimalsTM session?

Florence Gans of PathMakers, Inc. doing HTA on one of her horse clients, Beau, who lives at Blair Cee Stables in Raleigh NC.
HTA uses the hands to clear, energize and balance the animal's energy field. The hands are sometimes placed on the animal's body, as well as off the body in the energy field that surrounds the body. HTA techniques are noninvasive and pleasant for the animal to receive. Many animals become very relaxed during an HTA session. Well behaved animals can receive HTA sessions without owner supervision, while fidgety animals require a handler so that I can focus on providing the HTA techniques. Sessions usually last from 30-40 minutes. Depending on the severity and history of the problem, multiple HTA sessions may be required for optimum results.

Does Healing Touch for AnimalsTM have to be done in person?

New mom Dolly appreciated the Healing Touch for Animals support during her labor to deliver her new son Cooper.
I have had equal success with both humans and animals in person and distance. This is my process for distance HTA sessions. We schedule a time for an HTA session with your animal. During our session I would like for you to be able to watch your animal. You can read or do something quiet during our session, but I ask that you do not have a lot of activity going on during the session; workmen, a party, television, vacuuming, etc. We want your animal to be peaceful and relaxed. Before our session, I want you to tell your animal about our appointment, and that you want them to receive and accept the energy. Animals are aware of much more than many people realize. At the time of our session, call me on the telephone so that we can check in on how your animal is doing. We will then hang up the telephone, and I will do the HTA techniques. This will take about 30-40 minutes depending on what I find. At the end of the session I will call you and report on what I found and the techniques I used. You can also tell me what you observed.
